What it offers
A note for parents
This is a contemporary picture-book retelling of the classic fairy tale about three billy goats outsmarting a troll. The Klassen-Barnett version maintains the core conflict—goats confronting a threatening creature—but uses humor and clever wordplay rather than graphic content. It's appropriate for most young children, though the troll character and mild peril may unsettle very sensitive readers.
