A note for parents
This is a non-fiction anthology of personal essays and comics by professional female creators reflecting on love, relationships, and belonging in geek culture. The content is generally hopeful and inspiring, celebrating female voices and diverse identities. However, as an adult-oriented collection, it includes occasional mild profanity, references to adult relationships and sexuality, and mature themes like rejection and self-doubt that are better suited to older teens. The LGBTQ+ representation is authentic and prominent without being graphic.
