A note for parents
This graphic novel prequel depicts a family massacre and focuses on a morally complex antagonist pursuing dark magical ambitions, making it darker than typical teen fantasy. While violence is shown in illustrated form rather than extremely graphic, the thematic content—betrayal, ruthlessness, and regime change—skews toward mature readers. It assumes familiarity with the Vox Machina universe and works best for fans aged 13+.
