A note for parents
This is a clever fantasy reimagining of Cinderella with mature themes appropriate for older teens. Elena actively resists her predetermined role and builds agency for herself, modeling independence and resilience. While there is some romantic tension and occasional references to the darker undertones of fairy tales, the book is generally well-suited to teens who enjoy character-driven fantasy and have encountered traditional fairy tales.
