This is the second book in DiTerlizzi's WondLa series, featuring action-driven sci-fi adventure with themes of peace, cooperation, and standing against evil. While there are battles and conflict between humans and aliens, violence is not graphic and remains appropriate for upper elementary to early middle-grade readers. The story emphasizes positive values like courage, empathy across species boundaries, and finding allies in unexpected places.
