This is a Warriors prequel following the origin story of a main antagonist. The book contains cat-on-cat combat typical of the series, with injuries and territorial conflict, but no graphic gore. The story explores darker themes of revenge and bitterness, though aimed at the established middle-grade audience. Fans of the Warriors series will recognize this as part of the extended universe.
