A note for parents
This is the second book in Marie Lu's Legend series, a dystopian YA thriller set in a militaristic future with political intrigue and personal stakes. The story involves action sequences, moral complexity, and themes of corruption and resistance, making it suitable for mid-to-older teens. While not graphically violent, it contains combat scenes, surveillance states, and emotionally intense moments; some crude language and brief romantic tension appear but are not dominant.
